Tommy Cotter and Connor McKay have not only completed their Plastering Apprenticeships ahead of schedule, but they were also the first Plymouth Community Homes staff to achieve this under the new standard. Their exemplary performance has been exceptional, and they will continue to work at Plymouth Community Homes until their end date.
Kevin Tapp, along with their mentors Lewis Matthews and Chris Gannon, have provided unwavering support to both Connor and Tommy, who have consistently demonstrated outstanding performance. Their dedication and hard work have been recognised by Greenlight Training, with Connor representing both Greenlight and PCH at competitions and winning apprentice of the year, while Tommy has been awarded apprentice of the month.
Reflecting on his experience, Connor McKay shared, "Throughout my apprenticeship, I have developed skills beyond plastering that will undoubtedly help me progress in my career. I am eager to continue my journey at Plymouth Community Homes and I am truly grateful to everyone who has supported me along the way."
Danni Houston, HR Business Partner (Learning and Development) at Plymouth Community Homes, said:"Thank you to the mentors for all the guidance and sound advice they have provided the apprentices throughout their time at PCH. Without the operatives, our apprenticeship programme would not be as successful as it is."
