The festive spirit was in full swing on Tuesday evening as staff, their families and our corporate tenants gathered as we turned on this year’s Christmas tree lights at Plumer House.
This year, the lights were switched on by Aimee Green, CEO of Luna's Fund, our current charity of the year. The charity was founded in 2018 by Luna's parents following the loss of their first born daughter Luna in 2017, and it now offers practical and emotional support to bereaved parents in Devon & Cornwall following the loss of their baby.
The crowd buzzed with excitement as the eagerly anticipated countdown began. Aimee pressed the giant plunger, lighting up our Christmas conifer which has become a regular feature for those who pass Plumer House.
Over the festive period, PCH is hosting a variety of events and fundraisers to help staff get into the Christmas spirit and raise money for charity. We are supporting Christmas Jumper Day on Thursday 12 December to raise money for Save the Children.
PCH is also supporting Four Greens Community Trust's winter appeal to collect 50,000 tins for vulnerable community members by hosting a Christmas Foodbank Donation Week on Monday 16 December - Friday 20 December.
